Lifting Technology

Lifting technology is mechanical equipment used to move, store, control, and protect materials, goods, and products throughout the processes of production, distribution, consumption, and disposal. Lifting technology can be classified into four main categories: transport equipment, positioning equipment, load-forming equipment, and storage equipment. Lifting technology is necessary to facilitate daily work with heavy loads; its development helps us work more efficiently and productively. In fact, lifting technology enables easier handling of heavy loads.

Transport equipment is used to move material from one location to another (e.g., between workstations, from the loading dock to the warehouse, etc.), while positioning equipment is used to manipulate material at a single location. All these devices make it easier for us to lift and deal with heavy loads on the body. Lifting technology was invented to assist in work. Its usefulness is reflected in the fact that it is becoming more and more a part of our daily lifting, moving, and transporting tools.

Lifting technology is used for handling materials at one location. It can be used at the workplace for feeding, directing, loading/unloading, or any other type of material manipulation to ensure that materials are in the correct position for further handling, machining, transport, or storage. Compared to manual operation, using lifting technology can increase the productivity of each worker, improve product quality, and limit damage to materials and equipment. Its ease of use reduces the chance of causing damage during manual moving and decreases fatigue at work. In many cases, lifting technology is necessary and can be justified by the ergonomic requirements of the task. Lifting technology includes lifting, tilting, and rotating tables, lifts, balancing devices, manipulators, and industrial robots. Lifting technology can be used manually, electrically, pneumatically, or with another machine (e.g., Fork extensions for forklifts). You will find versatile and useful lifting technology devices for daily handling of loads anywhere. Our lifting technology offers various load capacities and weights, all of which are certified.

Our lifting technology includes various lifting devices and equipment such as:

1. Lifting Magnet

Countless manufacturing companies—along with companies in other industries—use a lifting magnet in their daily operations. This lifting technology solution enables production workers to easily lift, move, and manipulate heavy items. While it may sound like an unnecessary cost for manufacturing companies, a lifting magnet is a smart investment for several reasons. Therefore, get yours right here.

A lifting magnet is exactly what it sounds like: a high-powered magnetic device used for lifting objects. It has a block with a main body and shaft. It contains two magnets within the main housing. These two magnets create a magnetic field that affects metallic objects when they need to be lifted. Also known as a portable lifting magnet, it allows workers to easily handle heavy objects. To lift a heavy item, a production worker places the permanent magnet on the object and activates the magnet. When the lifting magnet is activated, the magnet will "stick" and hold the item if it is made of magnetic metal, allowing the user to easily move it to the desired location. The lifting magnet can also improve productivity in the workplace. It's not only exhausting for workers to lift and carry heavy items manually, but it is also time-consuming. Consequently, workers will experience low productivity, which will affect the company's profits. The lifting magnet solves these challenges with its ability to automate lifting processes. Production workers can use them to quickly and efficiently move heavy items. When the lifting magnet is used in the production workplace, it reduces the risk of worker injuries and creates a more productive environment. With various load capacities, our lifting magnet can lift loads of up to one ton. We offer different lifting magnets for various load sizes.

2. Fork Extensions for Forklifts

Sometimes a forklift needs a little more reach to access pallets. That’s exactly why fork extensions for forklifts were created. From unloading trucks to picking up or loading in very deep warehouses, fork extensions for forklifts are used when the existing reach simply isn’t enough. Fork extensions for forklifts are a type of attachment for forklifts used to temporarily extend the length of the forks. They are made of steel, available in various lengths, and are easily mounted directly onto your factory-installed forks with a safety pin that is easy to secure.

In addition to adding the necessary length, fork extensions for forklifts also provide load stability and help reduce the risk of accidents. Different sizes and load capacities of extensions are available for different loads. For example, extensions for heavy loads differ from those for indoor storage. When used properly, fork extensions for forklifts are an excellent way to increase productivity. However, if improperly used, they can jeopardize safety.

Fork extensions for forklifts are made of durable steel and have a safety support for the heel. If improperly used, extensions can cause load instability. If you overload the extensions, the load may tip over, so handle them according to the instructions. Fork extensions for forklifts are easy to use. They simply slide over the existing forks and lock under the back part of the forks.

Fork extensions for forklifts fit onto the front of the forklift and must be correctly positioned. Otherwise, the extensions may fall off or get damaged during use. Different mechanisms are used for securing the extensions, including loops and pins. It’s crucial to follow the installation instructions provided with the fork extensions for forklifts. In addition, forklift operators must ensure that the extensions are securely mounted.

3. Electric Hoist

An electric hoist is a device used to lift or lower loads using a drum or lifting wheel around which a rope or chain is wound. An electric hoist can be operated manually, electrically, or pneumatically, and can use a chain, fiber, or wire rope as the lifting medium. The most recognizable form is the hoist, whose rope/chain is raised and lowered by a lifting mechanism. An electric hoist is powered by an electric motor and has a switch for adjusting lifting parameters. They are efficient for transferring heavy loads and can perform lifting tasks where the use of conveyors and cranes is impractical or unfeasible. Other types of hoists based on the drive mechanism include pneumatic hoists (or air hoists), hydraulic hoists, and manual hoists.

An electric hoist is mounted above the item to be lifted. Electric hoists require access to power sources, so they are usually found indoors. They are commonly found in warehouses, auto shops, and machine rooms as well as manufacturing facilities. Most electric hoists are designed to withstand hazardous and high-temperature environments. There are also electric hoists designed for cleanroom environments suitable for handling food and pharmaceutical products. Safety protocols for operating electric hoists should be implemented in all environments.

The use of electric hoists increases operational efficiency by eliminating manual lifting and positioning tasks that require significant effort. They support physical ergonomics in the workplace. An electric hoist operates faster than other types of hoists. It is a cost-effective tool and takes up less space than transport systems.

4. Electric Lifting Table

An electric lifting table is a device that uses a scissor mechanism to lift or lower goods and/or people. Typically, electric lifting tables are used to lift large, heavy loads over relatively short distances. Common applications include handling pallets, loading vehicles, and positioning at work. An electric lifting table is a recommended way to help reduce the occurrence of musculoskeletal disorders by properly relocating work to an appropriate height for operators. An electric lifting table can easily be adjusted for specific use. An electric lifting table can operate in unfavorable environments.

Industries that commonly use lifting tables include wood processing, upholstered furniture manufacturing, metalworking, paper, printing and publishing, as well as the storage and distribution of heavy machines and transport.

An electric lifting table is available in a wide range of configurations and can be designed to meet various highly specialized industrial processes. The most common type of lifting table includes hydraulic cylinders and an electrically driven pump to activate the scissor lifting mechanism. An electric lifting table can be installed in an opening for loading on flat floors, which is especially useful for access with manual forklifts and other transport means. The activation of the scissor operation can be hydraulic, pneumatic, or mechanical (via a lead screw or rack and pinion system). Depending on the power system used by the electric lifting table, no energy may be needed for lowering; this can be done simply by releasing hydraulic or pneumatic pressure. This is the main reason why these power supply methods for hoists are preferred, as they allow for a safe return of the platform to the ground by releasing a manual valve.

In addition to height and width variables, there are several other factors to consider when selecting a scissor lift. An electric lifting table typically conforms to flat floors and has zero or minimal fuel emissions. A diesel lifting table has larger tires for heavy-duty terrain with a high ground clearance for uneven outdoor surfaces. Many machines contain stabilizers that can be used to stabilize the machine during operation.

An electric lifting table can be used for:

  • Loading and unloading vehicles
  • Positioning at work and ergonomic handling
  • Positioning of loads (e.g., during installation in transport systems)
  • Positioning of materials in machine feeding applications
  • Transshipment of pallets and safety cages

5. Fork Hook

A fork hook, attached to the forks of a forklift, allows you to lift loads from above rather than lifting them from below. This is especially useful when the forks cannot fit under the load. Our hooks, mounted on the forks, are fully tested and have CE certification. Hooks mounted on the forks are commonly used in agriculture and construction, to name a few. This attachment is suitable for many types of machines.

Attaching a cargo hook for all standard forklifts is an excellent solution if you need a lifting device in a short time. This means that machines and flexible large bags can be quickly and safely transported from point A to B. The cargo hook for forklifts can be attached to the lifting equipment with forks. Thanks to two screw clamps, the cargo hook attachment is quickly and securely connected to the forks.

6. Electric Forklift

An electric forklift is a motorized machine for lifting and moving pallets. These forklifts are the most basic form of electric forklifts. Some electric forklifts include a platform on which one can stand. The electric forklift is operated via a throttle switch on the handle, allowing the control lever to be moved forward or backward. The forklift's hydraulics are controlled by levers that directly operate the hydraulic valves or by electrically controlled switches, using smaller "finger" levers for control. The latter gives forklift designers more freedom in ergonomic design. The electric forklift is controlled by moving the handle left or right. Most forklifts have an emergency stop switch on the handle to prevent accidents from squeezing. The electric forklift is rated for maximum load capacity and a specific center of gravity. This information is written on the nameplates provided by the manufacturer. In many countries, it is illegal to modify or remove the nameplate without the manufacturer's permission. Forklifts are a key element in warehouses and distribution centers. Now, electric forklifts are also used for home use. It is essential that these structures are designed to allow for effective and safe movement. An important characteristic of a forklift is its instability. The electric forklift and the load must be treated as a unit with a constantly changing center of gravity during each load movement. An electric forklift should never turn quickly with a raised load, as centrifugal and gravitational forces can combine and cause an accident, leading to tipping. Electric forklifts are available in many variations and load capacities. In a typical warehouse environment, most forklifts have a load capacity of between one and five tons.

7. Stair Climber or Electric Stair Cart

As the name suggests, an electric stair climber is designed to assist in moving goods up or down stairs. The electric stair cart is used to manipulate vending machines, slot machines, server cabinets, safes, barrels, appliances, building materials, etc. The stair climber is a type of transport cart equipped with swivel wheels or tracks, allowing it to be moved up or down stairs. The stair climber can have manual or battery power, and thus they are usually classified by their mode of operation. Manual stair climbers typically have lower load capacities. The electric stair cart can have a track, wheel drive, or push arm. Electric stair climbers are available in numerous variations. The most common are models with tracks or push arms with wheels. The stair climber with a push arm allows us to use and handle goods more quickly and easily. The stair climber uses a method of assistance by extending the push arm. The arm is positioned next to the wheels. Two moving push rods operate sequentially to lift the stair climber upwards using the triangle principle, allowing for easier and faster movement of loads up the stairs. Electric stair climbers can be mounted on trucks or transport vehicles. The electric stair cart is designed to assist in lifting heavier loads up or down stairs. Their small size allows us to store them in a car.
